Luis Robert Jr. led an electric offense to defeat the Boston Red Sox and secure a series win in the process. Tanner Banks took the mound to start the day for the Good Guys. In his second career start, Banks threw 4 strikeouts over 2.2 innings pitched. Jesse Scholtens took over throwing 4.0 scoreless innings in relief, earning his first career win. The Red Sox took the first lead of the day on an RBI double from Adam Duvall in the top of the third inning. Luis Robert Jr. blasted a 2-run homer in the bottom of the fourth inning, his 20th home run of the season. The hit gave the White Sox their first lead of the day, which they kept through the remainder of the game. In the bottom of the fifth inning, Andrew Benintendi added on an insurance run. He sent a soft ground ball to right fielder Rob Refsnyder to score Gavin Sheets. It was an impressive afternoon for Luis Robert Jr., who recorded his fifth career multihomer game and second this season. After blasting his 20th home run earlier, he crushed his 21st home run in the bottom of the sixth inning, boosting the White Sox to a 3-run lead. Relief pitcher Aaron Bummer had an impeccable performance, throwing 1.1 scoreless innings with 2 strikeouts. In an impressive feat, Bummer snagged a line drive hit directly to him to secure the first out of the eighth inning. Keynan Middleton closed out the final inning, securing a White Sox win.
