A blizzard warning has been issued for all five boroughs of New York City, Long Island, and much of New Jersey as a classic nor’easter threatens the area. Forecasters say snow accumulations could range between 13 and 18 inches, with wind gusts as high as 55 mph. Whiteout conditions are likely. Current forecasts show up to a foot of snow expected across the five boroughs, central Jersey, and Nassau County on Long Island. Areas farther east could see more than a foot, while totals may be slightly lower north and west.
