Michael Brennan Moves Into Contention With 66 at Colonial [dgLUhTYDlCJ]
Michael Brennan reacts after shooting 66 in the second round of the 2026 Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club. Brennan says his round was a bit of a roller coaster after starting 1-over through three holes, but he hung in well and found better control with his irons on the back nine. Making his Charles Schwab Challenge debut, Brennan explains why he loves Colonial, a course he had already played in college, and why he enjoys the fact that it is not overly long but still never produces extremely low winning scores. He also opens up on his season so far, describing it as good and bad, with several changes including new coaches and a new caddie. Brennan says he has been in a transition period and hopes he is now starting to come out of it. Most importantly, he says it felt good to finally be in contention rather than worrying about the cut line.
