Authorities are investigating an attempted bomb attack outside the official residence of Zohran Mamdani the mayor of New York City, after “suspicious devices” were thrown during protests outside Gracie Mansion on Saturday. The New York City Police Department confirmed that one of the objects was an improvised explosive device capable of causing serious harm, and a second similar device was recovered, though neither exploded or caused injuries.
