Somebody who hit a Powerball jackpot worth $138 million after buying the winning lottery ticket at the Walmart Supercenter on Brandt Pike in Huber Heights has now missed their opportunity to claim the life-changing prize.

The Ohio Lottery says the ticket from July 3, 2024, has now expired after the winner failed to claim their prize by the deadline, which is 180 days after the drawing.

That deadline arrived on Dec. 30.

"All tickets have limited validation periods established by the Ohio Lottery Commission," according to the Ohio Lottery's site.
