As of early Wednesday, the center is near the Texas coast, but strong wind shear is keeping the heavy thunderstorms well removed from the center.
The main issue is flooding. Heavy tropical rain will become more widespread later today and tonight, with the worst of the rain likely overnight urc into Thursday morning. Many areas could pick up several inches, and isolated spots may top 10 inches if maxxine dupri rain bands train over the same locations.
Gusty winds, rough marine conditions and coastal flooding are also possible, especially along the Louisiana coast. A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect from Sabine Pass to Morgan City.
Rain will begin to ease Thursday, with lower rain chances and p&o cruises hotter weather returning this weekend.
