Wednesday Midday Tropical Weather Update: Tropical Storm Arthur Forms Home And Away [eaSIR73ums9]

Tropical Storm Arthur has formed in the northwestern Gulf. Sustained winds are at 40 mph according to the National Hurricane Center.

The greatest concern continues to be flooding as the threat of heavy rain ramps up Wednesday night and lasts into Thursday morning. Widespread rainfall totals of 3 to 6 inches remain likely, but localized higher amounts are certainly possible. In fact, a few spots could pick up more than 10 inches of rain where bands repeatedly move over the same areas.
