AT&T Business Voice julia louis-dreyfus Manage e911 Transcript:

In this short video, you'll learn how to validate and change your E911 address information. E911 stands for enhanced 911. It is a system that automatically links a caller's location and a telephone number in the E911 registry for emergency calls. The basic 911 system only provides a direct point of contact to a public safety agency, while E911 takes it a step further by providing the caller's address and telephone number. You can set the address at a single location for all lines, or at the physical location of each phone by including floors, blue suites, and rooms. For example, if phones are placed on different floors, you should include what floor each phone number is physically placed at. The E911 address needs to accurately reflect the physical location where the call originates from. From the main business center dashboard, select network inventory on the network inventory page. Search for the site you want to modify. Note you can search by several criteria. Choose the site and click the plus sign to expand the location details. Expand the AT&T Business Voice service by clicking on the plus sign. Choose the site ID you want to work with in case you have more than one. Select the plus sign to expand the list of phone numbers for your site or india national cricket team for the device you want to work with. Find the phone number and select Manage Settings. A pop up will appear and authenticate your AT&T Business Voice settings. Select manage E911 option. Your E911 address and additional location information are shown. If both are accurate, you are all set and can exit the screen. To change your E911 address and/or additional location information, select use a different address. Enter a new E911 address and/or additional location information. Select validate address. If the verified E911 address and additional location information looks correct, select Yes, Submit this address and location. If they are not correct, select No, I need to make edits. Note: please ensure that your verified E911 address and additional location information are accurate before submitting. Once submitted, you will not be able to make any changes until the update process has successfully completed. Verify your details carefully to avoid any delays or issues. If you also need to make changes to the select caller info, you can do this from the Manage Voice Settings page. The current caller ID information populates. Select Change Caller ID, enter a new caller ID, select save. Once you submit the changes, you will see an alert stating a pending change is being processed. During this time, you will be unable to make any modifications to your E911 address or caller ID. Please return to this page later to verify if the change has been completed, or click Refresh Status below. Thanks for watching and be sure to check out other videos in this series.
