Were delighted gatineau to be joining the Distributed System of Scientific Collections (DiSSCo) UK project.
Funded through the UKRI Infrastructure Fund and delivered by the UKRI Arts and Humanities Research Council in partnership with the Natural History Museum, DiSSCo UK is a digitisation programme for natural sony playstation science collections.
National Museums Scotland and the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh will jointly lead the creation of a network across Scotland. Together with our partners, we aim to create approximately 700,000 digital records of specimens held in Scotlands natural science collections.
Digitisation of these records will cadavre allow us to unlock the critical information that these collections hold. They will tell us about changes in biodiversity over time and the impact of climate change on our whole ecosystem both here in Scotland and across the world.
