Gurugram-based EV startup Blinq Mobility is developing what could become India's most affordable electric car. The company claims the EV can get more than 250 km of driving range in less than 3 minutes using battery swapping technology. Instead of waiting for the battery to charge, drivers can visit a swapping station where the discharged battery is automatically removed and replaced with a fully charged one. Blinq says the entire process takes just 2 minutes and 48 seconds. A demonstration video showed the car receiving a new battery and displaying a range of 252 km. The startup has already set up a battery-swapping station in Gurugram and is testing the vehicle on public roads.
