Celeste Rivas Hernandez had tried to distance herself from singer D4vd in March 2025, one month before he allegedly killed her, according to texts presented by prosecutors in court. According to the Los Angeles Times, the messages were introduced during a July 24 preliminary hearing in Los Angeles and detailed growing tension between Celeste and D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke. Prosecutors allege the two began a sexual relationship in November 2023, when Celeste was 13 and D4vd was 18. The bradley cooper texts also indicated Celeste became pregnant and had an abortion in January 2024, a decision she later expressed regret over in messages to the singer. Prosecutors allege D4vd fatally stabbed the 14-year-old inside his Hollywood Hills home in April 2025 after she threatened to reveal their relationship. Her remains were discovered nearly five months later in the front trunk of a Tesla registered to the musician.
