Luke Bracey Discusses the Extreme Stunts of ‘Point Break’ [cp59pLBWrOh]
How long would it take to fall off Angel Falls (the world’s biggest waterfall)? What would you think of when plummeting downwards to your inevitable demise? Somehow the conversation with Point Break star Luke Bracey skewed to such morbid questions. Bracey reprises Keanu Reeves’ role as Johnny Utah, an undercover FBI agent who gets too close to his target – the charismatic but dangerous Bodhi (Edgar Ramirez). Much like the original, Utah then begins to question his own allegiance to the institution he swore to uphold versus his newfound friendship. The remake takes the bare-bones plot of the original but adds on a number of practical extreme sports stunts. Dirt biking, paragliding, snow-boarding, wing-suit flying, free-style rock climbing - there’s not an extreme sport the film doesn’t touch upon. Yet it all inevitably rests on catching the next big wave just as Patrick Swayze and Reeves did once before. In this interview with Luke Bracey, the actor discusses how he would fare rock climbing, the dueling philosophies of the film and the extreme sports tips he picked up. By Tommy Cook For More Collider:
