Declined For A Mortgage? One Lenders No Isnt Every Lenders No (UK 2026) [pqum4En8Qq3]

A decline from one lender is not a decline from the whole market, and knowing the difference is most of the job. The cases the high street turns down usually look complicated on paper. Self-employed income that doesn't fit a neat box. A couple of missed payments a few years back. A CCJ that's been satisfied but is still sitting on the file. A high street decision engine reads the first line of that and stops. A lender who underwrites properly reads the whole thing, and quite often reaches a different answer on exactly the same file. I can't promise anyone a yes before we've looked at the detail. What I can promise is a straight answer, quickly, and that it goes to every lender on the panel before I tell you it can't be done. If you've been declined, what reason were you actually given? It's rarely the full picture. Information is for guidance only and does not constitute financial advice.
