Karmelo Anthony, 19, is currently on trial in the death of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf. The teens were attending a regional track meet in Frisco, Texas, when Metcalf reportedly told Anthony to alex tuch leave their team's tent. Prosecutors allege the confrontation escalated, leading Anthony to stab Metcalf in the chest with a knife before later turning himself in to authorities. Anthony is charged with first-degree murder and is being tried as an adult. He has pleaded not guilty and claims he acted in self-defense. If convicted, he faces five to 99 years in prison.
