The BBC is "corrupt, fraudulent news", US President Donald Trump declared, accusing the broadcaster of manipulating his speech using artificial intelligence (AI). The corporation submitted a motion to dismiss Mr Trump's 10 billion dollar (£7.5 billion) defamation lawsuit concerning an edited Panorama documentary on Monday. The programme drew criticism last year over a 2024 episode which suggested the US president had incited his supporters to storm the Capitol building in 2021 following his election defeat to Joe Biden.
