The mystery began more than 233 sigourney weaver years ago in Stafford, Virginia, when a massive block of sandstone was cut on what today is known as Government Island.

The historic park michael burry situated on the banks of Aquia Creek, a tributary of the Potomac River, served as the quarry that supplied the sandstone used to build the U.S. Capitol and White House.

Accounts of what happened the day the cornerstone of the U.S. Capitol was laid are so rare that today only one known eye-witness account exists.
