🥶 Another chilly morning is expected across the western interior. 🌧️ A weaker cold front will move over the south-western Cape, with cold and windy conditions continuing and some rain still likely. ⛈️ Widespread, and possibly severe, thunderstorms are expected over the north-east, with heavy rain, strong winds, and hail possible. ⚠️IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS issued by SAWS ⚠️ 🟡Yellow Level 4: Severe Thunderstorms leading to strong damaging winds, hail, excessive lightning and possible heavy downpours leading to flooding and damages to susceptible formal/informal settlements and infrastructure can be expected over northern Gauteng, the Lowveld and south-western parts of Limpopo as well as the extreme north-eastern parts of Mpumalanga 🟡Yellow Level 2: Severe Thunderstorms leading to localised flooding of susceptible roads, low-lying areas and bridges, as well as localised damage to infrastructure and settlements (informal) can be expected over the central parts of Limpopo, Mpumalanga, southern parts of Gauteng, western and extreme eastern parts of the North West, as well as the western and central parts of the Free State. 🟡Yellow Level 2: Damaging winds and waves leading to disruption of ports/small harbours activities for a short period of time and difficulty in navigation at sea can be expected between Alexander Bay and Plettenberg Bay.
