Customers can visit the bank at any time during the bank’s working hours to conduct businesses. Bank employees take their lunch break in batches so that the business is not affected. They usually take lunch between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. Responding to a query filed by an RTI activist who sought clarity on whether any time has been fixed for banks to have lunch breaks, the Reserve Bank of India, in its reply, said there were no fixed hours stipulated by it.
